1.
RESEARCH ASSISTANT /
Marine Mycology (1 position)
Job scope:
-
Contribution to the inventory of fungal diversity from marine substrata (corals, sponges,...)
-
Collection of marine samples
-
Isolation and
identification/characterization of fungal isolates
Requirements:
-
A Master’s degree or Ph.D in
Mycology or relevant discipline
-
Experience in diving, collection of marine samples, fungal isolation and
characterization
-
At least 2 years of relevant
experience in the academic or industrial context
-
Computer literate, dynamic, and
able to work independently
2.
RESEARCH ASSISTANT / Mycology
(1 position)
Job scope:
-
Contribution to the inventory of fungal diversity of natural habitats in several countries
-
Isolation and
identification/characterization of fungal isolates
-
Participation in the management of
a microbial culture collection
-
Development of computerized
solutions for the characterization and management of fungal cultures
-
Management of several research
projects in relation with the industry
Requirements:
-
A Master’s degree or Ph.D in
Mycology or relevant discipline
-
Experience in fungal isolation and
characterization (classical, biochemical or molecular taxonomy)
-
Experience in field collection and
surveys, particularly in tropical countries
-
At least 3 years of relevant
experience in the academic or industrial context
-
Experience in fermentation,
microbial natural product discovery would be an added advantage
-
Computer literate, dynamic, and
able to work independently
3. TECHNICAL ASSISTANT /
Mycology - General
laboratory work and maintenance (1 position)
Job scope:
-
Support in the preservation of
fungal cultures and culture collection management
-
Management of fermentation and
microbial extraction programs
-
Participation in natural product
screening programs
Requirements:
-
At least a Bachelor’s degree in
Microbiology or relevant discipline
-
Experience in fungal culture and
fermentation
-
Prior experience in natural
product extraction, HPLC analysis and screening technology in the industry
would be an added advantage
-
Computer literate, organized
and dynamic, and able to work and interact within a team
